About Nkenge

Nkenge Patrick, LMSW, is a Fordham University–trained social worker who uses a person-centered, empowering approach to help individuals build deeper connections with their emotions, thoughts, and lived experiences. I have supported clients across the lifespan—from early childhood through late adulthood—with a particular focus on the unique challenges and transitions that arise in middle adulthood. My goal is to create a space where people feel seen, supported, and capable of meaningful change.

Clients often describe my style as warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity about their inner world. I believe that people are the experts of their own lives, and my role is to help illuminate patterns, strengths, and possibilities they may not yet see. I work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, encouraging reflection without pressure and offering guidance without judgment. You can expect a therapeutic space where your voice matters and your experiences are honored.

What a session looks like

A typical session with me begins with understanding what feels most present for you—emotionally, mentally, or situationally. From there, we explore your thoughts and feelings using a person-centered framework, focusing on building insight, emotional awareness, and practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges. Over time, we identify goals together and revisit them as your needs evolve. Whether we’re processing a difficult moment, exploring long-standing patterns, or celebrating growth, each session is tailored to support your journey toward greater clarity and well-being.
